Columba McVeigh from Donaghmore, Co. Tyrone was 19 years old when he disappeared in October 1975.  He had been working in Dublin at the time. A very significant programme of searches and excavations has been carried out at an area of bog at Bragan, near Tydavnet, Co. Monaghan site since 1999.  Unfortunately, Columba McVeigh’s remains have not yet been recovered.

A further search for the remains of Columba McVeigh at Bragan Bog near Emyvale Co. Monaghan commenced on 3 October 2022.
